IA and Defensive Cyber Security Services
NOVA’s Information Assurance and Cyber Security program uses a holistic approach to assuring information availability by managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes. While focused predominantly on protecting the data, our protection encompasses data in transit, both physical and electronic forms as well as data at rest in various types of physical and electronic storage facilities. We ensure full and appropriate availability of the data to the government enterprise.
SharePoint Portal Services
For the Secretary of Defense, NOVA procured, installed, and integrated SharePoint 2010 portal services on both NIPR and SIPR based on priority given by the government. The SharePoint deployment provided users with a wide range of capabilities including a user-definable web portal environment to enhance situational awareness and communication, the capability to create structured data, and collaborate more effectively. For the Joint Staff OCIO, NOVA’s provided complete, end-to-end software design, development, testing, and maintenance services. We partnered with Joint Staff personnel too.
In partnership with DISA ESD, NOVA is developing an enterprise-wide ITSM framework based on ITIL and has helped establish standardized processes for Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), and Change Management to start. The team developed and documented the necessary governance, policies and procedures to enable adoption and alignment with ITIL best practices. Once these processes were implemented, we then started working with DISA on developing enterprise–wide Problem Management and Incident Management processes, as well as specific services.
